Hi Everyone,

Today's Target and Pay Per Lesson release is now live.

Guide To Reading Music: Lesson Four is a set of Level II Sight-Reading Exercises that cover important techniques, definitions and concepts. The lesson covers Picking In Time with particular attention to Eighth Notes, and also goes into Dotted Quarter Notes and Ties. The Exercises reinforce understanding the natural notes in first position (AKA the white keys), as well as combining them with slightly more complex rhythm patterns.

Enjoy this level 2 lesson!

Neil Thanks

It's great to get these basic in detail.
Thanks for taking the time to put all together.

I noticed that this is lesson 4.
Am I mistaken to think the recent Fernando Sor Studies 1 and 2 part of the Reading Music Series of lessons?

I'm a little slow getting to the topic of "reading music" Listened to Lesson One tonight. Thank you Neil for your breakdown of all the elements. I have not read music since 7 and 8th grade trombone lessons - I'll add these exercises to my routine. They will serve me well. It will be a nice break from my right hand exercises on fingerpicking - my thumb and fingers need a lot of practice, they get confused!
