So what notes are in a G scale?
What notes are in an Em scale?
What notes are in an E scale?

Re-Harmonica Choice
At the beginning of the Play Through, you mention if it's in the original key use a G Harmonica
and if it's capo's at Fret 3 use a Bb harmonica as you do, I understand that but......

How do you determine which key to select for the harmonic, is there a rule of thumb for that?
The songs in Key of Em..... why not use an E harmonica ? What am I missing here?

hI Dermot,,somone bomb me to mister postman  B)

The diatonic harmonicas you can buy in diffrent scales (keys) and have only the scale notes on them(you can blow or suck any note and it will sound good,,well sort of)

BUT,,bleus players on harmonicas use diffrent scale harmonicas (the famous one is the marine band),,if the blues is in G the haromonica player uses a C scale harmonica ,,the way he played that then is called ''cross playing'' (can't explain how),,they use all kind of tricks such as bending etc to get that dirty blues sound,,of course you can play it on a G scale as well (straight playing).. B)
