Suzi, I understood that, I didn't take your comment personally but did take it on board constructivelyI wasn't saying you, in particular, do that, Dermot. I said "we," as guitarist, can do that.
I'm definitely not looking to point fingers. I often have myself go "back to basics" when practicing. In fact, I got back to working on double-time strumming this week in part thanks to this lesson and also from looking at the lesson on More Than a Feeling. It's a technique I never really applied myself to learning and finally decided I needed to just stop and do it. So, anyway, yeah, my comment applies to lots of us (myself included).
