Hi Everyone,

Today's Target and Pay Per Lesson release is now live.

Michael Rosenberg, known by his stage name Passenger, is a British folk-rock singer-songwriter. The beautiful Let Her Go is taken from his album ‘All The Little Lights’, released in 2012, and became his most successful single.

In the lesson we take a close look at the acoustic version. It features a relatively easy chord progression, travis style fingerpicking, along with several melody notes and embellishments like hammer-ons and pull-offs, to dress it up. The guitar is capoed at the 7th fret.

Since Michael Rosenberg plays this song on stage completely randomly, the student is encouraged to do the same. For that I’ve included a couple of exercises of fingerpicking-patterns to start with. Also, basic fingerpicking skills are absolutely necessary in order to get this song down.

Enjoy this level 6 lesson!

I have never heard of this artist. Love the sound though, and the intro to the lesson was outstanding.

Ness:

I really love that you are picking lessons on so many different artists and exposing some of their work. It is pretty awesome.

Thanks,

Jason

Vanessa

Passenger's done some great songs, All The Little Lights is a brilliant album.

I look forward to the Let Her Go lesson you've put together.

Just wondered if you plan to do a Part 8, play through, singing it for us too ?
Your play throughs in other lessons have been great.

Thanks

Dermot

Very nice Vanessa! I keep tellng myself that I need to learn a lot more modern songs, and here is one that really sounds beautiful. I watched several sections of your lesson on it already and as always, you do a thorough job on the lessons.

I must admit that I miss hearing you sing along at the end of your lesson / songs :)

Thanks again!
Bart

And the songs by recent artists continues. Nice work TGNess

I hadn't heard of this artist or this song before either, ...rock!...as in, I live under one....not just down under. :) Regardless, this is a pretty song, sad..but pretty.

Gosh Nessa, it looks like you've given us a heap of stuff in here to build our skills too. I'm not surprised of course, just appreciatively.

I listened to your intro after watching both videos of the artist playing, and gosh!, it sounds SPOT ON! and beautiful of course. I SO LOVE your playing.

Thanks Ness.
