Hi Everyone,
Today's Target members only lesson is a new Fly On The Wall.
Chan mentioned that he had always had trouble playing a B7 chord. This led us into connecting a few dots as far as chord construction and that one of the common ninth chord shapes, that he really had no trouble playing, is really derived from the open B7 shape. We talked about hand position, and how sometimes altering it a bit can make some chords easier to play. We also talked about other moveable shapes, including major sevenths, the basic āEā and āAā families, and their connections to the sixth and fifth strings.
Continuing on our Allman Brothers track, we played Melissa. Chan was very smooth strumming through the chords and had a good feel for the lyrics.
Enjoy!
