Hi Everyone,

We have a new addition to the lesson release Whodunit?

The Walking Bass Section of Whodunit? is what bumps this up to Level 8. There are only five unique measures here but they probably need to be taken one to two beats at a time, very, very slowly, before gradually speeding them up.

You might think of this as similar to approaching barre chords after you started feeling pretty good about open chords- patience and persistence required.

Enjoy this level 8 lesson addition!

What a great lesson.

Section 1 Part A is fun.... need to practice it lots to smooth things out but have moved on to
Section A Part B to keep me going as for me there's lots to think about.

I have a very basic note naming theory question.

The Walking Bass:
B C# D F# E G F# A# B D C# B A G F# C#

The walking bass Measure 19 goes E, G, F#, A# ......

......because the G (S4S5) goes down a fret to fret 4 should that be named a Gb ?

I noted it down as F#, then got to thinking ! :S

Hi Dermot,

The naming of the notes is tied to the harmony, basically the chord that is implied by the combination of notes. Give that a thought then stay tuned for today's segment.
