Hi Everyone,

Today's Target members only lesson is a new Fly On The Wall.

The collaborative effort between Sandy and Lynn continued this week with Lesson 2 in our Geography course. We started with going over the five common guitar keys and then headed into different ways of fingering scales up the neck.

Enjoy!

Hi willem

Lynn has been watching the videos and emailing me her questions for Neil. She's supposed to come visit this winter. She will probably take lessons from Neil. It's her turn to be on the hot seat. :S :P :)

Ps. I did see her on the beach :)

This was talking a bout pattern one, starting on the root note from the key or scale,, right?

I think pattern 6 is also a great one.

Maybe it as nothing to do with what I said 'cos its called Guitar Geography.

Willem

Edit. And where can we find these lessons?

Hi willem

Those are two patterns you can use to play scales up the neck of the guitar. The first pattern starts on the 6th string and the second pattern starts on the 5th string. it helps with figuring out were the notes and chords are up the neck of the guitar.
