>>New Target and Pay Per Lesson release - Lyric Collaboration Project – And Winter Glows
Nice Michele. Simple and to the point. But you needn't worry about using the word 'love' too much. Check this out (this is only part of the lyrics):
All you need is love
All you need is love
All you need is love, love
Love is all you need
All you need is love (All together, now!)
All you need is love (Everybody!)
All you need is love, love
Love is all you need
Love is all you need (Love is all you need)
Love is all you need (Love is all you need)
Love is all you need (Love is all you need)
Love is all you need (Love is all you need)
Love is all you need (Love is all you need)
Love is all you need (Love is all you need)
Love is all you need (Love is all you need)
Love is all you need (Love is all you need)
Love is all you need (Love is all you need)
Love is all you need (Love is all you need)
Love is all you need (Love is all you need)
Yee-hai! (Love is all you need)
Love is all you need (Love is all you need)
Yesterday (Love is all you need)
Love is all you need (Love is all you need)
Love is all you need (Love is all you need)
Love is all you need (Love is all you need)
Oh yeah! (Love is all you need)
She loves you, yeah yeah yeah (Love is all you need)
She loves you, yeah yeah yeah (Love is all you need)

I just need to rework the last part because it's not fitting and that will be it. No recording for me because I have never done that and singing? Well let's not go there. Thanks for the pep talk, Michele!
Ah, Michele, you went and posted now forcing my hand. I can see you put a lot of work into this and like me found out that getting a handle on someone else's idea is not easy. The other two versions are really great work as well. So, true to my promise to deliver schmaltz and bad rhymes, here's my attempt ....for now at least.
There's lots of places where I would probably try to improve it, but since I doubt I'll ever record this, I think I'll leave it here.
BTW - Just how many times can you put the word 'love' in a song and get away with it? Let's think...."she loves you, YEH, yeh, yeh. She loves you yeh, yeh yeh. With a love like that..." Yeh probably quite a few.
Love's all around
Verse 1
Every-body knows life's rhythm ebbs and flows
Riding on a wave, you're high then low
It can fill you with delight or crush your chest so tight
Leave you breathless, drowning, struggling for the light.
Verse 2
Every-body knows we need love to keep us whole
Riding on love's high's like nothing else we know
A drug that's hard to fight, you're addicted overnight
One look, one touch, one lingering kiss can lead us into danger.
When love's dumped you once again, and
When your heart feels ripped in two
When you're hurting, sinking, drowning
Hold on tight, sweet one
Bridge
Look around and see, the family who loves you
Look around and see, the friends by your side
Look around and see, the love that surrounds you
The love that's all around, all around.
Verse 3
Every-body knows the pain when life's gone wrong
It can crush your very soul if you let it, if you let it
When you're blinded by that pain, don't hide yourself away
Reach out, let loving hearts lift you again.
When you think love's left your side, look around, love's there
When you think you're all alone, reach out, love's all around.
OK Jean - I beat you can't beat that for schmaltz and cliche.
I also made lots of changes asking myself, "Where is this all going? "" It seems Daryl knew all along.
I just need to rework the last part because it's not fitting and that will be it. No recording for me because I have never done that and singing? Well let's not go there. Thanks for the pep talk, Michele!
Hi guys
You've all posted really great lyrics. It seems like the theme for this song is somewhat about loss. Maybe that came from the word winter. I don't really know for sure. But, I wrote down some lyrics too, just a little variation on the same theme. I don't even know if these lyrics match Neil's melody, but it was all I could come up with.
Winter Glows
At three AM I woke up, to hear the quiet sounds
Of my own thoughts, and the night life all around
And winter grows and glows
The little voice inside my head, says what's this life about
All alone with just my thoughts, is there no way out
And winter grows and glows
All of life's big questions percolate throughout,
Who am I, what is this life, must crickets be so loud
And winter grows and glows
I hold my eyelids tightly closed, and focus on my breath
Breath in and out, ignore that voice,The one inside my head
And winter grows and glows
I wonder where our loved ones go, still here or are they gone
I hear the clock bong four AM, why is this night so long
And winter grows and glows
Looming in the shadows is a life that use to be
He didn't last forever, even though he promised me
And winter grows and glows
The morning sunlight's streaming, threw the shutters where I lay
I stumble to the kitchen, and face a brand new day
And winter grows and glows

Wow that's great Sandy.
TotallyLyricwriters.com maybe?? Next project - Heliotrope Bouquet??

Hi Vanessa: Thank you for the compliment on my somewhat sad lyrics, Just had to put in my 2 cents worth.
Thank you Willem: I liked your final verse, you're eternally hopeful and positive Willem.
Thanks David.
You're funny. I looked up Heliotrope bouquet, the pinkish purple flowers. Apparently there are about 250 to 300 different species most of which are toxic and can kill you if you happen to eat them. Keeping that in mind, I suppose we could just all use our same sad lyrics for both songs.

That could work .... i'm looking forward to Neil's lesson on Heliotrope Bouquet, but I'm thinking it must be a level 11, maybe easier to write lyrics for it than try to play it.
