Hi Jason
Had a great trip to Venice beach today which was a enjoyable experience and really enjoyed the baseball game later and loved the friendly atmosphere which is so different to a typical football game in England.
I tried the dodger dog and garlic fries and they were tasty but the wife won't come near me :) The only bad thing I've experienced in California is the L A traffic it's terrible but one day left here and then on to Las Vegas.

Hi Jason
I stopped on my way to LA for the night at the comfort Inn at Ventura on Sunday!
We had a very nice meal at a Greek restaurant I think it was called Stephens market & grill.
Also visited Slovang on the way and also went to the beach and Pier at Santa Barbara.
Loving every moment being here and I'm looking forward going to my first ever baseball game in La, dodgers v angels even though the rules are a big mystery to me!
Damn timing..... I BBQ'd ribs and tri-tip on Sunday! You could have stopped by for a pint and some food..... :)

Enjoy the ball game. Make sure to grab a Dodger Dog and a cold beer (garlic fries too, if you don't mind the bad breath afterwards - :P ). Dodger stadium is a decent stadium, and we catch a game or two each year. Most seats are good, and you can see the game pretty well from anywhere.

If you have not been to San Diego yet, make sure to grab a free tour of the Taylor Guitar Factory. From what I understand, it is quite interesting.

Travel safely, and have fun!

I forgot that the Taylor factory was in San Diego but the family would not let me have a pass to visit or the Santa Cruz guitar factory it was to low on the to do list.

I warned you about the garlic fries....

Las Vegas will be fun too! Lot of fun stuff there. It will be very hot though, so be prepared. Lots of air conditioning there, so no worries if you are inside. Hopefully you will be able to catch a show or two. They have some great performances in various casinos. Lots of wonderful places to eat as well. If you guys do any sight seeing while you are there, the Hoover Dam tour can be interesting, if you like that kind of stuff. Also a hike in Red Rock Canyon can be fun, but early is best in the heat! If you have time, a trip to Fremont Street for the light show and a quick zip line can be fun. Sometimes they have live bands playing out there too.

Take care, and have a great time!

Jason
