Hello Everyone!

Today's Target and Pay Per Lesson release is now live.

In 1966 Bob Dylan’s seventh studio album was released, Blonde On Blonde, which included some elaborate arrangements and featured some great studio musicians. Just Like A Woman was released as a single from the album and showcased some nice arpeggio picking using small chord shapes in the key of E.

This lesson covers what was done on the studio version even though it is one of the songs Bob has performed most frequently in concert over the years. Usually those versions are just strummed campfire style and maybe, if there is interest, we will expand this lesson to look at those.

Enjoy this level 5 lesson!

Many thx Neil... that's a really cool guitar part to learn how to play, Also great cos it is not the kind of thing which tends to turn up in the songbooks - as you say, it is a studio musician accompaniment rather than something Dylan would have played himself, but it is such a big part of what makes the recorded track so successful.

To be fair to Dylan,it would be pretty difficult to play a precise part like that live while singing his trademark ahead of the beat and behind the beat vocals haha. The live version at the Concert for Bangla Desh is terrific - I love the way Leon and George come in for harmonies on the chorus on something they have probably rehearsed about twice, if that.

Very enjoyable lesson.. thx again.
