Neil

If playing using the three fingered A shaped barre in measure 1
, what's the best way to practice the chord change back to it in measure 3
that would reinforce a good chord change practice? There doesn't seem to be any anchor fingers to help keep the chord change fluent.

Sorry Neil, I was thinking of three fingers as a block. :S
Building the chord placing the fingers as they are needed actually seems to eliminate the
crushed in the fret feeling.

Scott.....

Here's a recording of my attempt to date of measures 1 to 10.
It's not too good but will come with practice, I hope.

Well Dermot, thats not so bad. Its a deceptively tough song, so getting through it , even at a very slow speed is a start. Even though Neil gave us an out from using the full "B" Barre, I've been working on it anyway. When I get time, I'll post a video of my progress.

Crack on!

Scott

When watching the play through Neil can reach his little finger over several frets
for pull offs and hammer ons, that looks difficult, like it has a mind of it's own.

I like the out Neil has provided, I'm practicing that too as I think all expands playing dexterity.
I like the way everything is fluent as Neil plays.
Getting the same fluency with the full barre, I find difficult.

Watching your video, your playing sounds confident, I think you'll impress  .
I look forward to your next video.
