Hi Everyone!

Today's Target members only lesson is a new Fly On The Wall.

This is a continuation of the lesson on You’ve Got A Friend where Neil and Sandy compared the difficulty level to that of Fire And Rain.

A big part of that was because Carole King writes on the piano and James Taylor writes on the guitar.

That led them into working on Desperado, another piano song that can be transcribed to the guitar in different ways.

Starting with just an understanding of the chord progression is vital here.

Thanks for the inspiration Sandy!

I've played Desperado for many many years, on piano that is. Sure sometimes on guitar, but it's been while. So went to the lesson and went through Neil's arrangement. It's nice to incorporate the intro for example.

So yeah, thanks again! :)

Thank you Vanessa

I've loved this song and wanted to learn it for a long time. You're right the intro is really pretty. The Eagles have had so many great hits. :)

Yes David I am trying to sing a little better and Jim is a great voice coach, but I'm quite the challenge so I may need to sign a disclaimer absolving Jim from any responsibility for the results. Lol :)

Hi Willem. It's going to take me a while to really learn Desperado but I really hope some day to be able to play it well enough to post it on TG :)

Well Sandy, who knows... Maybe one day you can accompany me on this one ;)
Always an honor to have SandySue of the PIPS at my side!

Which reminds me.... Our beloved TZZombies, weren't the first ones to have formed a band (plus name)

We have SandySue and the PIPS :woohoo: Created at an IGC, not sure which one? Was it the second camp?? :)
I just never realized we are with so many famous bands around here at TG Forum!!
How cool is that? B)

Corina (CCNess, band member) :P
