Hi everyone,

We have a new Target members exclusive lesson for today, Stormy Monday Revisited with Fred.

It had been a long time since Fred and I looked at Stormy Monday and he had the progression and strumming in pretty good shape.

Singing this while playing is very difficult and I asked him to try to sing while I played. I was really surprised at the result as he had never really tried that before.

After a couple verses, I told him to take a lead and the petrified look in his face was priceless.

He managed to pull it together after a short review of the Pentatonic Scale and finished nicely. Then we spent a little time working on the dreaded C9 chord.

Enjoy!

Thanks Willem and Dermot. I had a lot of fun with that tune, both playing and singing. If I could got to the lead more seamlessly, it would have flowed much better, but I fumbled my way to it and it came out pretty good. My favorite FOTW to date!

Best-
Fred
