Hi everyone,
Today's Target and Pay Per Lesson release is now live, A Hazy Shade Of Winter by Simon And Garfunkel.
Simon & Garfunkel’s 1968 album, Bookends included A Hazy Shade Of Winter, a song also released as a single.
It is unusual for Paul Simon songs to start of with a riff but that is what we have here. He plays it very simple in concert, basic strumming on a 12-string guitar.
This lesson covers the Campfire approach, as well as a much more difficult version incorporating multiple guitar parts, and even a little bass.
Enjoy this level 7 lesson!

Thx Neil.... that is a great lesson, i love all the fancy stuff haha !! we should always have a separate section on 'the fancy stuff plse.
nb Bookends ''pretty much their second-to-last album'.... also known as their fourth album... how many albums does an artist have to record before you start counting from the end ???
nb2 i loved Marc's comment on the 2-string guitar

:S
Great movie : Lovely Bones
Time, time time, see what's become of me
While I looked around for my possibilities
I was so hard to please
Don't look around
The leaves are brown
And the sky is a hazy shade of winter
Hear the Salvation Army band
Down by the riverside's, there's bound to be a better ride
Than what you've got planned
Carry your cup in your hand
And look around
Leaves are brown, now
And the sky is a hazy shade of winter
Hang on to your hopes, my friend
That's an easy thing to say
But if your hopes should pass away
Simply pretend that you can build them again
Look around
The grass is high
The fields are ripe
It's the springtime of my life
Seasons change with the scenery
Weaving time in a tapestry
Won't you stop and remember me
At any convenient time?
Funny how my memory skips while looking over manuscripts
Of unpublished rhyme
Drinking my vodka and lime
I look around
Leaves are brown, now
And the sky is a hazy shade of winter
Look around
Leaves are brown
There's a patch of snow on the ground
Look around
Leaves are brown
There's a patch of snow on the ground
Look around
Leaves are brown
There's a patch of snow on the ground ...

ps - great work on the playthrough neil.. i only just got around to watching that segment of the lesson. That is so hard to sing across a syncopated riff in the chorus, you must have two brains!!
