Hi everyone,

Today's Target and Pay Per Lesson release is now live, Good Time Charlie’s Got The Blues by Danny O’Keefe.

Danny O’Keefe is unfortunately mostly remembered as a one-hit-wonder but he wrote some great songs that
were covered by artists as diverse as Jackson Browne, Elvis Presley, Leon Russell, Judy Collins, Willie Nelson,
and even Mark-Almond.

Of course, Good Time Charlie’s Got The Blues is his most well known and could even be considered a standard
today.

It consists of a very cool fingerpicked vamp that might be a bit challenging but well worth mastering. This lesson
mostly goes over the way he plays it live and solo.

Enjoy this level 4 lesson!

Love it, Great job Neil!

This one is going onto my list to learn right now. At the top of the list, not the bottom that never seems to get done. ;)

Thank you so much!!!!
Bart

P.S. Tell Fred Thanks for singing for the "Play Thru". He did a nice job!

Cool!

Funny that, on a personal level, the first thing that struck me was this:

Working on those stretching exercises, guys, but gonna be a long time before I can spiderfinger like that. If only I'd started this back when my fingers were young and stretchy rather than middle-aged and grumpy. :silly:

Great lesson! The hits just keep on coming! :woohoo:

Works okay here too.
Try clearing your cache etc.
Maybe try a different browser too.

It's a great play through, not to be missed !

Thanks Neil. That's a cool song. I haven't heard of Danny before. Thanks for putting him on my radar.

I enjoyed listening to you and Fred play this. Lots of heart in there.

I've got the afternoon off and I'm thinking of having a go at this once I'm home.

Thanks guys, still can't watch it... or any other videos, but im sure it is something on my side thats not working properly... let's stereotype here... women and technology... :P

Would have loved to see and hear Neil and Fred do this song together.
I know Neil is such fantastic accompaniment for any singer and I know from the mini house concert we did at Ed's place, (which was a highlight for me for sure!) that Fred is a gifted singer as well as a guitar player.
So it seems indeed very promising.

Lemons in life.... ;) :silly:
