Spending My Time is a beautiful ballad by Swedish duo Roxette, released as the 4th
single from their 3rd studio album ‘Joyride’ (1991). Even though it was less commercially
successful than their previous singles, it still remains a fan’s favorite.
The lesson is once again based on their acoustic version, as broadcast on MTV Unplugged.
The song features many chords, including several barre chords, due to a key change in the
final chorus. It should be done using double time strumming, with accents on beats 1, the
and of beat 2 and beat 4.
