Hi Everyone,
Our newest TARGET and Pay Per Lesson release is on Kiss and Say Goodbye by The Manhattans!
Kiss And Say Goodbye is a song by American R&B vocal group The Manhattans. It became a worldwide
success and one of the biggest hits of 1976 and the 1970s.
This lesson teaches how to play the song in the key of A, where the guitar is capoed on the 1st fret.
The progression uses only three chords, the I, IV and V (A, D and E), with the exception of chord ii (Bm),
which appears in the outro.
There are several details included, such as picking out bass notes and copying the kick of the drums
when strumming, to give the accompaniment the same feel as the original.
Enjoy this level 3 lesson!

Hello Vanessa,
I remember this song very well from the Bicentennial Year for the U.S. of A. (1976)
You did a wonderful job with your lesson play thru as always... Your vibrato is beautiful and this song really showcases it!
The only thing missing is your DEEP Baritone voice speaking the words in the original intro. What's up with that????
Thank you....
Bart

  The deep baritone voice.....well....yeah, I guess i could've given it a try. :silly: Not too sure how that would have come out.
In any way, thanks so much for your compliments, they sure made my day!
I was also relieved that you know the song (as well as Shel). I don't think i've ever been so baffled of the fact that Neil didn't. How in the world is that possible??
Thanks again Bart, I hope you're well!

Thank you very much dear Shel, i of course love your compliments as well!
I've actually always loved to play and sing the song. Not sure why it never occured to me to record a lesson for it. Well i've mentioned this many times, but working for TG makes me dig out so many songs that i've loved for years and years. I'm certainly enjoying what i'm doing. :cheer:
Thanks again my sweet friend!
