Hi Everyone,

Our newest TARGET and Pay Per Lesson release is on Take Five - Jazz Standard Guitar Lesson!

Perhaps one of jazz’s most infamous and recognizable songs, Dave Brubeck made this tune famous
over 50 years ago. With an incredibly catchy rhythm and memorable melody, this song is a fantastic
way to be introduced to playing in odd time signatures.

Unlike your standard 4/4 time, this song has 5 beats per measure, which may seem tricky at first but
by the end of this lesson you’ll be grooving away with ease.

Enjoy this level 5 lesson!

Take Five's a great lesson.
Thanks for putting it together, sounds fun to play.

When you finish section B measure 17, you go back to the beginning of section A, how would you end
the tune on the guitar ?

Dermot, thanks for the kind words, this was a really fun lesson to put together. If I were performing the song, I'd go back to playing the rhythm guitar part for four bars and then just end on a big Ebm chord.

Thanks for the advice.
That's what I wondered, go back he the beginning two measures repeat and end on Ebm.

I got bogged down trying to figure out how to get GPro7 to execute the repeats.
It's a rabbit hole you don't want to go down !

Thanks again for a great lesson
