Hey Gang,

A new Classical lesson from Vanessa is ready, enjoy!

Andante In A Minor

Visit the site for free guitar lessons, one of a kind membership programs, forum, community, and contests.

Andante in Am (Op. 241, No.18) is written by Italian composer Ferdinando Carulli (1770-1841).

This piece might be considered easy in the classical world, but might not be so easy for beginner guitar players in general.

This lesson takes a close look at both hands. It shows correct hand positioning, the fingerings for the left hand, and the picking for the right hand.

We break down the parts from beginning to end, elaborate a bit more on varying the tempo and volume, and finish the lesson with a ‘slow it down/play along’.

Vanessa

I haven't heard / seen you play a Classical tune before.
Nice guitar.

Great play through.

Thanks for another Beginner lesson

Dermot

Hey Dermot!

Yeah, as you know, I'm more a fan of singing. But I do like to play classical stuff from time to time. I did grow up with it. I also find it a great way to just go back to basics sometimes. I think the only classical piece that i've ever uploaded on TG is Bourree. If anyone could find it here, it'd be you! :P

The guitar is nice for sure. I bought it at IGC 2013 from one of the campers. It's actually a hybrid, crossover. I love to play it, especially when my fingers are sore from too much playing. :? :D

Anyway, thanks for checking in Dermot!

TGNess 8-)

I'm glad I can still surprise a little here :D Even though nowadays you can often already hear it in the weekly recap.

Thanks Shel!
