Hey Folks,
Continuing with a theme this week we have Bob's version of Vince Guaraldi's great tune from The Charlie Brown Christmas Special.
Christmas Time Is Here is a popular Christmas standard that was written by Vince Guaraldi and Lee Mendelson for the 1965 television special “A Charlie Brown Christmas”.
This lesson presents a fingerstyle solo guitar arrangement of the song that features the melody and all of the accompanying jazz chords. It covers beautiful voicings for chords like Eb9#11, Db9#5 and Bm7b5 in a way that should be approachable for players of various levels.

That looks like a difficult tune to play and make it sound musical.
Another great Christmas addition.

Hey Dermot,
This arrangement may perhaps not be as difficult to play as you might first think. Some fingerings and chord shapes may be new to many players, but I have simplified some of the jazz voicings to only 4 notes to make shifting from chord to chord a little easier. Also, the song can be performed slowly, with a rubato feel (not strict time), so little pauses between chords can be both acceptable and emotionally effective. They also make it easier to play!
Best,
Bob
