Hey Everybody,
Walkin' After Midnight was the topic of a recent lesson with one of my students and it seemed like a good addition to our library. Check it out when you can.
Walkin' After Midnight was a big hit for Patsy Cline in 1957. The song was written by Alan Block and Donn Hecht and did not start out destined to be her first major single. She performed it on Arthur Godfrey's TV show and the response led the record company to get behind it.
This short lesson introduces a couple alternate chords to the way it was originally was done, hopefully in a good way. The song is in the key of C and uses just four main chords. A couple different approaches to the strumming patterns are brought in as well.
