Hey Everybody,

So we do not have everything fixed as far as new lessons are concerned but I found a temporary workaround that makes this lesson accessible. I hope you enjoy In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed.

In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed was the first instrumental Dicky Betts wrote and recorded with The Allman Brothers. It was originally released in 1970 on their second album Idyewild South, but the definitive version is found on their live album The Fillmore Concerts.

The song opens with a couple slightly jazzy chords, which for the foundation for the chord progression to the first theme and the backing for the solos.
This lesson takes an acoustic approach and goes over the basic rhythm parts, the two main themes, and a couple of the transitions.

All you have to do to play along is improvise using the A Dorian scale, which is covered in the lesson as well.
