Hey Gang,

A request last week from davesnothere finally got me to get to a Bruce Cockburn song, after many years of meaning to do it. We open the Canadian artist's library with Wondering Where The Lions Are.

Bruce Cockburn has been a fixture on the acoustic music scene for over 50 years, and it is long past time that we got a song of his up at TotallyGuitars. Thanks to a request on our Forum last week, we are happy to add Wondering Where The Lions Are to our library.

The song is played in Dropped D Tuning with a capo at the second fret and features a good example of Cockburn's distinctive fingerpicking style. There are only four chord shapes and he plays two of them with his left thumb wrapped around the neck to fret the 6th string. The lesson shows alternate ways to finger those chords, and breaks down the fingerpicking patterns in great detail.
