This song was recently suggested to become a lesson I thought it offered a great opportunity to go into fingerpicking strategies, as well as using a capo at different frets with different chord shapes for a variety of sounds.

Kieran Kane's 2006 album Lost John Dean, with Kevin Welch and Fats Kaplin, featured a few songs that have become favorites of the Totally Guitars Community. I Can't Wait was recently requested and it presents a great opportunity to work on 'generic fingerpicking', where you should really mix patterns somewhat randomly, but also emphasize short melodic fragments that Kieran works in.
The lesson goes over the progression in a few different keys and goes into great detail about using a capo to play a second guitar part in a different relative key. All five guitar-friendly keys are covered and embellishments common to each key are presented as well.
