As mentioned recently, once I got to putting together a lesson on Baby I Love Your Way, it seemed obvious that Show Me The Way had to join the collection.

Peter Frampton was the creative force behind a handful of huge hits in the mid-1970s. His 4th solo album, Frampton included Show Me The Way as well as Baby I Love Your Way, both of which skyrocketed to the top of the charts with Frampton Comes Alive in 1976.

This lesson looks at the way he played it acoustically in more recent years. It is in the key of D Major, and uses mostly normal chord shapes in that key, along with a few more colorful chords and a couple syncopated changes. Barre chords are necessary to strum through it smoothly.
