Hey Folks,

For most of my teaching life I have used My Grandfather's Clock as one of the first solo fingerpicking pieces I have students learn. It is now in the TG Library for all to take a look at. We have had a slack key version up for years but this one takes a wider approach, starting with harmonizing the melody, then putting it together with the chords, and finally syncopating it to make it musical.

And here is John Fahey's version.

THANK YOU NEIL!!!!!! My Grandfather's Clock!!! This has been on my "learn list" for about 8 YEARS- (ever since I stumbled across DedePick's version of it)
Your recent lesson post on this song made it easy for me to just pick up my guitar and play this very very fun tune!! I am still working through all the lesson videos for this song as I went straight for the TABs/music pdf, haha! But I took a bet with myself that you will be challenging everyone to figure out the rest of the song for ourselves..... For a song like this, I will take that on!!!
Thanks for this lesson!! C
