Actually, that already exists. When you reply to a thread, just uncheck the box above the SEND button and you won't get anymore emails. When you come into the FORUM, any replies posted to the the thread after yours will show the little green NEW along side of the Thread name.

Right, BUT... The default could be set to leave that box unchecked. Ya know what I mean?

Unchecked would be my default preference as well.
I've missed unchecking it a few times.

Let the computer do the work by default as much as possible. That's their job and I wouldn't want to deprive them of it.

I only recently notice the uncheck thing until then I was getting g'zillions of emails
