Neil,
first of all, thanks for creating a great site!
I would like to know if it is possible for you to do your videos with a guitar that has the fret markers, alot of times I have to back the video up to figure out what fret you are playing on. It gets confusing sometimes when there aren't markers to get our "bearings" on.
Thanks
fret markers
Welcome to the forum Gus and you bring up a very valid point. Especially if the body of the guitar or the head stock are not visible, easy to get lost. Perhaps, graphics could help, like what was done with the simple chord vids from the blog.

Welcome to the TG Forum Gus.
As Ric said, that is a very good question about the
fret markers, but if you listen closely to Neil, he
is very good about telling what fret he is using at
any particular time.
When I first started watching Neil's videos I had the
same observation, but as I listened closely to Neil,
no more problem.

Very valid point and one likely misse by those of us who've been around too long. Neil is generally good at ex0plaining as he goes , he uses one of two guitars one with markers and one without, maybe for the sake of beginners he shouold use the Santa Cruz
Neil does a pretty good job of explaining what finger goes on what fret but sometimes I have a hard time following him like the 2nd fill in Harvest Moon, for some reason I'm still struggling trying to see what exactly Neil is playing.

I would also like to see fret markers. As a guitar hacker, I am ok with open
chords in the first three frets, but when I have to move up the neck I seem at times
to get lost. A split screen with zoom might be helpful also. Regardless I am
very happy learning to play my type of songs through NeilB) and cant complain.
