maybe Don's cousin, Irwin Ho...or was that
Norman Ho? lol

I like when Neil puts a sing-along part in his lessons. It definitely helps me with my playing, as I still have trouble keeping steady strumming while singing at the same time.

I personally hope he continues the sing-along segments.

I personally like the sing-along because I primarily play to accompany my singing and having it gives a reference to when the lyrics happen in reference to the chords. It is especially helpful on fingerstyle songs.

It doesn't matter if Neil's singing is like my playing as long as it is correct in it's placement.

Keep Playing
Ric

Thanks for the comparison and the vote of confidence. I know that hearing them together is a big help so I will take that plunge whenever I can. Besides, it's all among friends here!

Yes, please keep singing along, Neil. It's so helpful to hear the song put to words. Please don't feel self-conscious about your voice. You sound fine!

At least when Neil sings along we know he's human!! It gives me hope for my own singing!! I vote for continued singing, it really makes it easier to learn the tune for me!

Go for it Neil--it's a tremendous help to hear where those cord changes occur in the song---on a downbeat, upbeat or wherever, it will make a strong contribution to getting it down right.
