Found this site just the other day by searching through YouTube.
Within 30 minutes of seeing the site I made the decision to join
up, pay my fee, and take advantage of the online detailed lessons.
I hope to advance my playing ability from intermediate to "maybe"
closer to advanced. I look forward to seeing additional info and
features here on the site.
Small suggestion from a newby...
Can you look at possibly adding a technique training section that
would include recommended scales, drills, and other pertinent
exersices in preparation for more advanced songs etc.
Anyway, just a request. If something like that is already here,
and I just havent found it yet, please excuse my ignorance.
Thank you, and I look forward to many months of being a member here.
And BTW, great concept here Neil. I hope you continue with great
execusion of the site.
Newby just saying "HEY" with a request
Welcome to the TG Forum and to the TARGET program GMANONE, I think you
will like it here.
As you have probably already found, the songs are laid out in a
learning progression from beginner on up and they are ranked
according to their difficulty. This will give you the chance to
work on the areas that you want to improve in like strumming,
finger-picking, etc. Neil also discusses theory within each lesson.
Feel free to ask any questions and share any tips or opinions you
have. There are people at every level of playing ability and at
every level of musical knowledge on this board.

Hey Gman! Welcome to the site and TARGET! Glad to have you! There are many players here that are in your ability group, maybe most of us. Because the pool of people who are more advanced is much smaller than all the begineers out there the initial focus has been to focus everyone on the basics. I've gone back and tried to clean up my playing, especially left hand position, before I tackle The Sage or Classical Gas (although I've started).
This site, but not necessarily TARGET, has many really good guitarists who are waiting for more advanced content and Neil has promised this. Neil discussed this in his last TG Live last Friday (you can watch the whole thing by clicking on TG Live and watching the last two episodes). He made an interesting comment that there is no modern rock music that meets his definition of "advanced", it's all below that. When people get to the 9 or 10 level almost all songs are intrumentals.
For what it's worth, this program has been nothing short of outstanding. My playing has improved so much in the last three months I can hardly believe it. But I've played a ton more since I joined as well. It's funny, the more I play the better I seem to get!!
Anyway, glad to have you and please jump in and contribute when you can. We're all learning from each other and not just Neil!
