Strangely enough given I am a long term Eagles fan my nemesis is Hotel California.

I put it down to the fact I pressure myself too much to play this and dare not accept a second rate effort

For me, it's gotta be Tommy Emmanuel's 'Angelina'. I've been working on it now for close to 3 years and have yet to play it through without messing up! :( And, on top of that, what I do play greatly misses the mark. Tommy just has a way of playing that makes it basically impossible to mimic (at least for me). But, the battle continues.... :woohoo:

For me it is Mood for a Day by Steve Howe. I had tried many years ago and then tried again when I made my great return to guitar. I could not fingerpick quick enough. Now that I have started to alternate my fingers on the same string as thought by Neil on Classical gas, I can see that I have a fighting chance on it. There is still so much work to be done however.

Tony,

I once had a song,
or should I say,
it once had me.

Nice... Cruel but nice..... :) :)

What is the plural for nemesis??????? I have way to many to count. A different question would be why are they your nemesis? For me it usually involves a chord shape or progression that my hands can't or won't do for me. Anything that involves too many barre chords near the nut always get me because they don't sound very clear to me. Barre chords up the neck I can deal with much better.

That's easy for me. Never Going Back Again. Working one's thumb independently from the others seems particularly important in that song. I'm giving it another rest...
