Hi fellow TGers,
I wasn't sure where to leave this but I wanted to share a moment with you.

I am on spring break so I've had a lot of extra time to play guitar which has been great! Equally great is the fact that since I'm not getting up in the morning to go to work, I don't have to rationalize my addiction to my wife and explain why I HAVE to stay up to 1:00a.m. to check to forum posts and there is NO WAY that it could possibly wait until the morning!

At any rate, I was working on a song Tuesday night that is coming along slowly, but I still stumble over a couple chord changes. Then, I had the following sequence of thoughts...
I will get out my metronome and slow down a little, and just keep my right hand moving, then even if I clank the chord a little at least it will be in time, and slowly I'll get the change, then I can speed it up...It was at that moment that it hit me like a lightening bolt...I've been HOGANIZED!

It was so subtle that I never saw it coming! lol

Craig:

That is a great epiphany (yeah, I said it - epiphany....lol). I had that same one several months ago. What a difference! Once you get comfortable with whatever speed you are at, you can add a few beats per minute until you make it to full speed. Like Bill says, welcome to the club.....

Glad you are having fun!

That's awesome Craig!!! Its nice that every once in a while something sticks like that. I had to laugh about the 1:00AM thing. So should I feel bad about staying up to 1:00 while not on vacation and still haveing to get up at 6:00AM for a 200 mile ride all for a 2hr appointment.......... :woohoo: :woohoo:
