I have been trying to get Neil to teach us
his version of Madman but to no avail.
I am now raising the ante. If Neil does
a target lesson with his version, I will
buy him a new shirt!!!!!
Madman across the water
Bribes wont work mate ..sorry..
Is it in voting ??..
If it is their may I suggest you build a case for it in your comments and let everyone know that you think they should vote for it..even then no guarantees
Everybody has their own preferences for what they think should be next..

So I had no idea what song it was ..
You have no chance if it is not on the voting list so start their..
But ...and it is a big but..
This is a piano song right ??..
Unlikely this will be turned into a lesson any time soon..
Way too many guitar based songs to do before we get to this sort of thing..
But ....
Their is always a way for you to build your skill base to create your own version then post if for some comments and help
That would be my suggestion...
And remember Im just the janitor round here..so just saying

Can anyone tell me where the rest of the tabs are for "Madman Across the Water". I only see the intro section but not the tabs for the melody as played in the video instruction.
Thanks
Thanks
I just jumped in here, but I believe that is what the discussion of this thread is all about. The bottom line is that if you endeavor to persevere, and keep learning the techniques that Neil teaches, you too will someday be able to play the melody the way he did in this song.
I know a lot of people have some heartburn with that notion. Me too at first. But when I look back and see how far I've progressed as a guitar player since I joined in here, just by practicing the techniques that Neil teaches, I can see light at the end of the tunnel.

I don't think anyone ever had a problem with there not being a lesson for the chord solo for any given song. People were (and still are, for old lessons) confused by the presentation -- the previews often being a chord solo and the lessons themselves being for the basic songs, with no explanation for the discrepancy. That no longer happens, but some of the old lessons are still that way. Further, Neil has been updating a few of those lessons with tabs for the chord solos, as he recently did with Landslide. So while "endeavoring to persevere" is always a good idea, it may be that the tab for this will eventually be posted here. Or not.
