Looking for the tab for the acoustic solo, Any recomendations?
Hi Jim,
When I was working on this a few months back, I just decided to trascribe the electric solo from the album down an octave and replace some of the longer sustains with some familiar blues techniques. Although I'm a great fan of Clapton, his own acoustic solo (from various concert videos) just didn't speak to me. This works pretty well, but only really sounds good with at least one other guitar playing rhythm. If you'd like a tab for this and aren't in a great hurry, drop me a PM and I'll try to write it down.

Sounds great.
I am looking for something with the same feel as the electric, but obviously the bends and sustains can not be done well on acoustic.

Hi Jim,
Attached is a Guitar Pro file of an acoustic version of the solo as I've been playing it. There's plenty of room to put your own stamp on it. This is pretty faithful to the electric version on 'Layla,' though an octave lower.
Regards,
Stuart
edit: I've tried to attach the file, but it doesn't seem to work. I'll try to think of another way.

Hey Stuart could you email one to me at [email protected] please? BTW, how long have you had the 000-28EC? How do you like it? Did you look at any other guitars when purchasing? I was looking at Taylor GC8 or GS as a cheaper alternative. Any comments/suggestions? Thanks! (I tried using PM for this but didn't work for some reason.) ~ 6String

I've just sent you both the GP6 file.
I've had the 000-28EC for almost a year (bought it last January). It's a lovely guitar with beautiful tone and I have no complaints at all. I'd played a few other guitars including some Taylors, but fell in love with the Martin. Some people have said they haven't liked the modified V neck profile, but I find it suits my large hands very well.

Hi Stuart
I don't have Guitar Pro.
Any chance you print the file scan it and send it to me?
Thanks
Jim

Stuart,
If your still in the sending/sharing mood, I am a new owner of GP and would really like a go at bell bottom blues as well.
[email protected]
Thanks, Scott
