Posted this over in 'Ask Neil', but was wondering if others had any tips for starting to add 'color' (melody) to my playing? I can play basic chord progressions but I want to add that next step of varying within chords. My left hand seems to 'lock' on the basic shape. Useful exercises to get finger independence?
