I saw Arlo in concert this summer. He mentioned that he relearns Alice's Restaurant every ten years so he can play it on it's tenth year anniversary. I worked on it today and made some progress on the basic version. Some tricky spots, but generally easier than I recall from my efforts last year.

Not sure where I saw/heard it, but Arlo has a new 'Revised' version of it floating around somewhere.

Good luck, Jay! I've never gotten the song to the point I want it. But it's still really fun to play! Can't wait to see your vid.

I just watched your version again from last year, as well as Vanessa's. Both were very well done and follow Neil's lesson closely. I will be very pleased if I can get my version to sound anything like those by Thanksgiving.

I'm sure your version will be great, Jay! Fingers crossed that you'll post it before Thanksgiving!

I'm definitely overdue for posting a video, so I guess it might as well be this one. I will keep working on it. Many others are overdue as well, I might add...

I have absolutely no doubt that you'll whip this song into shape, Jay. Go get 'em.
