If this is not the correct place to do a general request for an introduction to DADGAD, please accept my apologies. I didn't have any particular song in mind, hence no requested lesson. I'm beginning to explore Celtic songs in general, and DADGAD in particular. Anyone else interested?

Thank you,
Froppe :)

Hi Froppe!

Welcome to the site. I would certainly be interested in seeing some lessons based on DADGAD tuning. I'm sure this has come up before but without any success.

In the meantime, can you tell us something about yourself? We have a thread here somewhere for people to introduce themselves and tell us something of their musical interests/guitar background etc

I'd love to see both some DADGAD songs and some Celtic songs put up too. Stuart- wasn't your version of The Water is Wide in DADGAD?

Suzi

Edit-

Yes, here is:

DADGAD I believe is a great pattern to begin with. You might want to try to check out songs of Howie Day and dishwalla too. Nice vid posted! :)
