Hi Neil,

Any news on progress towards transcribing this masterpiece? How's it going - I know it's an epic, but it will be worth it you'll have a flood of target subscribers just for this piece!

Many Thanks,

Ian

Ian- welcome to Totally Guitars. There is a procedure for requesting songs to be made into a lesson or study. Find the "Recommend a Lesson" tab above and list your song and why it would make a good addition to the site. Clap is a very challenging song that will only appeal to a very few members. If others feel it would be a good lesson they will vote for it. Very few people on this site can play at the Level 8 or 9 of a "Clap" and I'm certainly not one of them.

But what we want has little relevance to what Neil wants to make into a lesson. But he does watch the trends. If he hasn't done a really tough song for awhile he might take it on. It could be awhile as Clap has been mentioned many times. It is currently #4 on the recommend a Lesson list with 66 votes. I hope one of those is yours!!

Cheers!! :cheer:

Hello Ian and welcome to TG. As others have said, just add your vote for that great Steve Howe song. You must really love those tough songs! :) B) "Clap" is a true workout for the left hand and it really helps to have Steve Howe-type fingers too. Neil already has a lesson up for "Mood For A Day", and to my mind, is a more difficult song to play and make it sound good. You might want to check that one out.

I've tried voting before but it's as impossible as the song !!!

Still won't let me vote..... it's as if voting has be locked or something like that !!

Click the 68Votes box and the page just jumps to "Whos Faved on this song" listing !

Recommend a Lesson has a mind of it's own too !!

Dermot, you got there in the end, technology making life easier as ever...

By the way, I have a confession, I never knew Steve Howe is self-taught and doesn't read music. You could have knocked me over with a feather when I found out.

I wouldn't have known that either.
It goes to show some folk just have the gift.
It would be good to hear how he taught himself in the beginning and
what worked for him when learning...

Although the the video you posted..... I don't think
he'd remember.... too busy making music... and having Fun
