California Dreamin'

Today I decided to work on some of the campfire type songs and looked at California Dreamin'. I couldn't remember the strumming pattern and went looking through the lessons, and didn't see it here. So maybe I got the song sheet from another website, but I can't remember where. Anyhow, just thought I ask and see if anyone has any thoughts on how to strum it. I'm mostly a fingerpicker and strumming doesn't come naturally to me.
Thanks,
Lynn

How about this one:

Close? I don't know. I guess you could start there and then go with what feels right for you. Good luck. I'm sure others will chime in with the correct answer.

Yeah, Neil's version is much better, fresher and smoother in the rhythm, Dean.

Thanks for posting this, Dan. I have watched several videos by Prof. Chapdelaine, he is amazing. I guess that is why he is a National Fingerstyle and Classical Champion.

Wow, thanks everyone for the responses. I don't know how I missed the lesson right there in the list... geez.

And thanks for posting the videos. Great stuff. So nice to know that there's always help available here on TG!

Now, back to practicing....
