whats the easiest way to play a b chord? I can never get a clear b bar chord. And aside from e shape on the 8th fret are there any other tricks?

I assume you mean the A bar shape in general. Some people will disagree with me, but I've found that it's nearly always fine if the high E string is muted on those. But if you must have that note, moving up the neck for an E-shaped bar is usually a good solution.

You could try it on the second fret and fret it like Neil does with an A chord(the three fingers not in a row),,for me I think the best way is flatting out the fingers but that cost an year or two before it sounds clean on all the strings...the easy way is on the 7 !!! fret.

Even today, I still play B like this, easiest way, just don't sound the low E and A string:
X X X X X 1
X X 2 3 4 X

Put a capo on the 2nd fret and play an A chord or put the capo on the 4th fret and play a G chord.
Or you could try 76444X.
