Help with intro to Country Roads

Feel free to get outside the box here.

At the very start of John Denver's Country roads, John or someone plays a short series of notes, maybe 8 of them. I can't work out what the notes are. Could someone please send these notes to me, preferably in the key of C. Thanks

I think you can find them,,you can choose notes out the key of C,,, C-D-E-F-G-A-B

I appreciate your reply. Frankly, however, if I could find the notes, I would not have asked for assistance. I knew they came out of the C scale, but for some reason my ear just cant pick them out. hence I ask for help. Rucgard

Thats nice!! I hear fingerpickin through the chord(s) (first guitar),,then the little riffs from the second guitar I hear its (maybe) on the first string..don't know yet if the u tube link is in the key of C,,its late here..

We need to help you develop your ear. See if this helps. Here is a video of the intro (repeated 4 times for you) at 60% playback speed. See if you can figure out the notes. Good luck. If you need it a little slower let me know.
