Ah Chas! Who knew TG's oldest member could be so helpful. :P

Looking at the differences between that photo and my current reflection, I suspect that if I were to be successful in the pursuit to be more facially hirsute I might end up with the handle Grey Beard (or at least be hearing look mummy that funny pirate lady is wearing a possum on her chin).

G, My favourite Key. You could always modulate to another key as you sail those high C's
-Tom

Modulating as you sail through the high C's is better than being all strung out on an F-chord with your G-string in a twist!

Hi Tom
Bloody hell maties, Beard, well I wore a moustache for one of Neil's birthdays so I guess I'll just need to try harder for the beard. Parrot on my shoulder, how about a poodle instead, a talkie poodle. Attitude, arrrrrrrAARRRRRRR!

Bloody Hell, Mates!

I turn my back for like, a day, and there's nine pages of comments on this thread.... and now you are all in Pirate costume and taking on additional accents, and writing a song, too!

Arrgh!..... stomps awkwardly on makeshift peg leg.

Why settle for makeshift? Sandy has previous experience with a blade and is apparently skilled at removing limbs.

Hi Guys

Somehow this song turned into somewhat of a bazaar love story, perhaps drinking song? But for sure a love story. Of course its about unrequited love. Two people are brought together for a brief period of time thru happenstance. They like each other right away, but their circumstances would never lend them the opportunity to be together. The girl subsequently develops a deep long term love affair with this man, in her mind only, as he goes on with his life, totally unaware that she loves him. Okay, i admit it reads like a trashy novel, but bloody hell mate, you're all welcome to add new chapters. I'm taking a guitar lesson today, so hopefully I will be able to add music to this tapestry. I'll give you the lyrics on my next post. Please feel free to edit this first addition, as you see fit. Oh, and there is also a pirate and a pterodactyl in there too. What more can you ask for.

Hi guys, here's the song

Title: Bloody good mate

verse 1:

I really don't know him but I met him one time

He left an impression in the depths of my mind

He's a little bit handsome, and brilliant they say

quirky and funny and kind in a way

Love is so great, bloody good mate

verse 2:

I know I can't touch him in space or in time

So he lives in my dreams, I don't even know why

He's my friend and my lover, He charms me with ease

He pampers and hugs me whenever I please

love is so great, bloody good mate

(check next post for rest of lyrics)

Bloody Hell continued: :)

Verse3:

He can't disappoint me or cause me to cry

I'm never alone, he's my wonderful guy

If I were a pirate, pterodactyl or such

I would still love him, if only as much

love is great, bloody good mate

verse 4:

I know it sounds crazy, but it's all in our mind

live it or dream it, love is divine

love is great, bloody good mate

(okay , perhaps a little corny, what can I say bloody good mates)
