It's been a while since we've had a ridiculous question. Here's a "what if".

Some stupid set of circumstances results in you being cursed. From that point on, you're allowed to play anything on a guitar when you're by yourself or with just one other person (this is the save your partner's or best friend's sanity clause), but you're only allowed to play a single song forever, the same song, when you're with more than one person.

Which song do you choose? (It can be one you haven't learned or mastered yet)

Why did you choose it?

How long do you think it will take you to get sick of it?

Fine print - if you break the rules all of your guitars will instantly disintegrate into piles of ash and metal, so you'd better choose carefully or learn how to play the piano. :P

Who wants to play?

What a fun question Shel!

And finally im on the good side of the "problem" because my role in this scene would happen to be the (Girl)friend of the guitar player!
Since I dont play the guitar, no really, not a note... but I will sing! B)
(Am I taking the easy way out here? )

Curious though what song the others will choose... :woohoo:

Cheers Corina :P

NO WAY and you know (btw we've talked about vocals, bass, ukelele, harmonica, keys etc. on the forums as well, so no, you're not saved), Shel is my friend too, and I am VERY sure that she'll back me up here!!! :P

Now name a song, you're digressing!

Nope that's the sound of being sound asleep down under. :)

And I will play, but indeed I said I need to think about it. I'll think of something.

But you, I'm sorry, you can't come in here and not play the game. ;)

Hilarious!!! :) :) :)

Nope! There's no ducking out of this one so easily Corina. :P So to be clear to the non-guitarists out there, the vocal specialists amongst you, what song would you sing in a gathering of more than one forever. If you break the rules your voice will break and the pleasure you now experience will be lost to you. You'll have no choice but to learn the gazoo, :) or take up expressive Tamborine, or express yourself through interpretive dance. :)

So Corina, in front of Nessa or another person only you can sing your whole repertoire, but what will you sing at the IGC, every IGC and every other gathering you attend?

Besides torturing your brain a little :) I'm most interested in not only the choice, but the reason for it. Will you choice a crowd pleaser, one that you know well already, one that's special to you, one that fits all of those categories ... Or perhaps one that you've never sung before that is a real challenge to you that you could see yourself mastering over time.

Choose wisely. Now let's see what you've got.

:P :D :p

Yep! It is. Thank whomever that we'll never face this choice. :)

I think I've got an answer, I'll write it tonight. I'm absolutely interested in yours Ness. I imagine it would be a particular hard question for you in particular and others who have such a huge range of fantastic songs you can already perform in public.

Which way will you jump? :) crowd-pleaser? Heart-breaker?
