Well my sweet friend, I think your audience wouldn't get bored either, since you sing and perform it just beautifully......

Here's my everlasting song...at this point in my life.
If I had to choose as a singer, it would be:

Autumn Leaves - Eva Cassidy version

Why? I think the text paints a perfect picture and takes you almost immediately into the story of missing someone dearly. And we all have someone we miss.

The music to it is a perfect accompaniment of the mood it should bring you in, and every time I sing it, it does it all for me...
The emotion is there in an instant.

I won't be bored singing it, ever. Can't imagine that to happen :)

Yep that's it. Now it's up to all you guys...what's your choice? Does anyone dares? ;)

Oh yes, I still have no freaking clue......but....I actually don't understand the question either.... :S

What's the with more than one person?

So by yourself you can play anything?

With one other person ditto?

But with two persons or more.....?

HUH??? Sorry....don't get that. Yes I re-read it, still don't get it. :S

Are we talking about performing to an audience bigger than one person? Why? That one person is an audience too right?

I miss the partner/girl/boyfriend-part too.

Pfffff......

I found it hard and my repertoire is minuscule compared to yours Ness. So I imagine you'll find it impossible indeed.

I said more than one person just so people didn't feel completely restricted.

Which song would you play at every future open mic you attend and each time you're performing for a group of people outside your house?

Oh no lady, not that simple... Now I want to know the reason you like this song. What makes it special, give us some insight :-)

ps like the "beautiful mess" too. Curious what will be your pick tomorrow, but like in all fairytales you have only three "wishes" to make, woman or not...
Only three wishes. That's funny. I've only used one, only one forever song so far. :P

It's special because it's about helping a friend through a shitty time in their life. It's about love and hope and being there for someone. It's about saying "Yep, I get that it hurts, but things will get better, let the pain out. I love you. I'm here for you. Everything will get better in the end."

It's a beautiful song. It's a beautiful sentiment and it's one that always fills me with emotion.

Lyrics - Details in the fabric (sewing machine)

Calm down
Deep breaths
And get yourself dressed instead
Of running around
And pulling on your threads
And breaking yourself up

If it's a broken part, replace it
If it's a broken arm, then brace it
If it's a broken heart, then face it

And hold your own
Know your name
And go your own way
Hold your own
Know your name
And go your own way

And everything will be fine

Hang on
Help is on the way
And stay strong
I'm doing everything

Hold your own
Know your name
And go your own way
Hold your own
Know your name
And go your own way

And everything, everything will be fine
Everything

Are the details in the fabric
Are the things that make you panic
Are your thoughts results of static cling?

Are the things that make you blow
Hell, no reason, go on and scream
If you're shocked it's just the fault
Of faulty manufacturing.

Everything will be fine
Everything in no time at all
Everything

Hold your own
And know your name
And go your own way

Are the details in the fabric (Hold your own, know your name)
Are the things that make you panic
Are your thoughts results of static cling? (Go your own way)

Are the details in the fabric (Hold your own, know your name)
Are the things that make you panic (Go your own way)
Is it Mother Nature's sewing machine?

Are the things that make you blow (Hold your own, know your name)
Hell no reason go on and scream
If you're shocked it's just the fault (Go your own way)
Of faulty manufacturing

Everything will be fine
Everything in no time at all
Hearts will hold

Whoever so ''old man'' by Neil Young, at last finished this song for our choir party and with a singer, it still needs work so I keep working on some parts but will perform it each time with the singer. we performed 4 songs on that party but we bluffed us through it and the audience were yelling BIS,BIS, what a fun it was.

We are now a duo and try other songs too.

I LOVE that you love Jason Ness. Much of his stuff that I can play is due to you.

You haven't done Deatils in the Fabric. It must be time for another one. :)
