I am hoping some of you experts could help me transcribing a song I want to learn.
I saw this guys version on YouTube

From 1972, Me and Mrs Jones by Billy Paul
I've attached my tab and below is a snippit of the first verse.

So far it sounds ok to me but the parts that use G6 just don't sound quite correct.
Recommendations please?

CM7 FM7 CM7 FM7
Me and Mrs Jones
Em7 D#m7 Dm7
We got a thing go-in' on
Dm7 FM7
We both know that it's wrong
FM7/C G6
But it's much too strong
CM7 E7
To let it go now

Dennis,
You don't say how you are playing G6, but I think just fretting the 5th string at the 2nd fret with all other strings open might sound ok. I'm not sure since I don't really know this song, but give it a try.

Bill

PS. I think the other chords in the song are Am, Am7, Em, D7, and G.
