Hi Everyone,

We received a request from TG Member Mackie1 on Cocaine Blues

"Hi, I"m using your lesson to learn the picking pattern for this piece on your website. But i'm not clear from the lesson what the picking pattern is for the right hand. Are you able to tell me. He indicates which fingers are required, but not what strings to strike and in which sequence. thanks"

Any insight is much appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi Mackie,

Sorry, I thought I had gotten back to you on this. I am not sure what you are asking as I think all is clear in the tab. The pattern varies according to what notes you need to hit. Standard fingerpicking with the thumb alternating on the 6th and 4th strings and the 3fingers assigned to the top three strings - index (i) plays the 3rd, middle (m) plays the 2nd, and ring (a) plays the first string.
Please help me understand your question better. I assume you are looking at the 3-page full tab version?

Neil
