Funny I'm reading Clapton's autobiography at the moment. If drug and alcohol abuse make Winehouse a no talent hack then Clapton and many others would fall in the same category, which is obviously garbage.
I'm no huge fan of hers, but the woman has talent to burn in my opinion.
Amy Winehouse
Just wanted to respectfully add that of course anyone can chose what they listen to or not based on a "total package". I like to keep my focus on the quality of the music. If I refused to listen to anyone I thought had questionable aspects to their character, I would be tuning out a lot of great music. I guess the fact that lots of musicians do drugs and alcohol and write lyrics we might not agree with doesn't necessarily make it a good thing (because it's common), but I personally think it's important to acknowledge that people (all except 1 notable exception) are flawed. Some more than others it's true. Each to their own.

Glad to hear that wearing frilly shirts and doing dodgy line-ups is not going to diminish your enjoyment of the Moody blues Tony .

Strangest thing about this thread is it's in the Theory General category.

I am a fan that is why I started this talk up, fan the flames a bit I know people don't understand. But she has been making a go of it straight now, that is where she went was to rehab for almost a year now. I wait for a new cd. I hope she writes about her stuggles getting off the drugs that would be great for the younger ones to hear for sure.
