Good thing they didn't let Pete sing. Pete's a real anomaly, a really good guitar player that just can't sing! :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

I really wasn't familiar with her. But I have to say that she's got a great set of pipes. Thanks for posting this, Kevin.

LeAnn Rimes got a lot of publicity in Australia a few years back given she was very young (about 15 at that time) and had such a mature voice. She sure has grown up.

I really enjoyed these clips. Even if it's not your your style of music, you know you are watching a very talented person.

Thanks for posting.

Well this is my style(s) of music so I enjoyed them all the more for that.

Sue and I came across LeAnn in the mid 90's and thought that she had an amazing voice then. We actually said at the time that she would be awesome when she matured a bit more. Well she's sure done that!

Kevin and Wiley - I utterly enjoyed all of the videos. I'm a Joss Stone fan already and now I obviously need to check out LeAnn latest stuff.

Thanks

Michele

BANG!! You did it, you went and made me think of this;

LeAnn, 3 Grammy's in 1997. She's done 10 studio and 4 'compilation' albums (like "Best of and such). Born in Pearl, Mississippi, the family moved to Garland, Texas when LeAnn was 6. She's also done some TV, Movie stuff, and written and/or co-written material. She was considered good enough that Eddy Arnold sang a duet with her (1955's "Cattle Call")on her first album, in 1996. She was called, at one time, the next "Patsy Cline".

The other lady is Joss Stone, an English lass. She is known for her Soul and R&B stuff. Her first album, "Mind, Body, & Soul", released in 2004, was nominated for two Grammy's and went #1 in the UK. She's sold 11,000,000 albums worldwide. She also has three Grammy's.

Of the two, LeAnn is the elder stateswoman. LeAnn was born in August, 1982. Joss is around 5 years younger, born April of 1987.
Well they can't get out this bleus anymore,,thanks Wiley,,i got vibrations..

I don't know what it is, Kevin, about really good guitar players/teachers and poor singing. I may put that question on the next TG LIVE. :laugh: :laugh:
