I wanted to do something for Beginners New to Totally Guitars.

So I put together a document of basic Open Chord Diagrams.

I thought for a beginner they could be used as an aid when watching the video lesson: The Compleat Rhythm Guitarist - Part 1: Compleat Open Chords I

TGNeils Bakers Dozen Video Lesson will be found here

Good Luck With Your Guitar Playing.

Very thoughtful/helpful.
The chord diagram for Em should show that the 2nd and 3rd strings are played open.
Also, it would be helpful to name the open strings in ALL the chord diagrams (like you did for C major and C7).
Also, in the chord diagrams you should somehow indicate what the information is below the fret board (i.e. fingers used, and chord tones - root, 3rd, 5th, etc.)

The 7th chord diagrams name the open strings but the major and minor diagrams do not. :-(

Dermot, that is a great document. I will pass that along to all of my guitar playing friends. Thanks. Beaker.
