PS. I noticed that you were using a TascamDP008. I bought one of those for my son for Christmas and he has done some very cool recordings with it. My question is, can I plug the output from it into the mic input on my Kodak Zi8 and get good results? I've been a little afraid to try for fear of messing something up. Like I've said before I'm a little technically challenged!
Dave, I don't see that plugging this into your camera would present a problem. Just keep all the volume turned way down until you work the bugs out. Let me know how it works out.

Chris, I am think I am up to about 50 songs that I can play by memory. It helps keep the dementia away :-0
